摘要 同步数字体系（SDH）网络由终端复用器、分插复用器、再生中继器和同步数字交叉连接设备网络单元组成，进行同步信息传输、复用、分插和交叉连接。SDH 具有以字节为单位的矩形块状帧结构，分为段开销，净负荷和管理单元指针三个主要区域。复用是多个低阶通道层信号适配进入高阶通道层的过程，即通过映射、定位和复用进入更高等级的速率模块信号STM-N 帧。 MSTP (Multi Service Transport Platform) 是基于SDH 的多业务传送平台。MSTP是指基于SDH平台同时实现TDM,ATM和以太网等业务的接入处理和传送, 并提供统一网管的多业务综合传送设备。MSTP设备是对传统SDH 设备的继承和发展, 是传送技术演进的重要阶段。MSTP的引入不但可以充分利用现有的丰富的SDH网络资源, 借鉴SDH传输系统多年的网络运维和管理经验, 完全兼容目前大量应用的TDM业务, 还可以实现以太网、ATM等多种业务的综合传送和接入, 满足日益增长的数据业务需求。文章主要介绍了MSTP技术的特点及新一代MSTP的产生背景. 随着电信业务的急剧变化和发展，电信传统的TDM 传输业务已经不能满足市场的需求，一种新的城域网技术基于SDH 的综合多业务传送平台MSTP 应运而生，本文主要讨论MSTP 的特点，并且研究在电信将来的网络建设中如何充分利用MSTP 的这些特性和优势. 关键词：同步数字体系（SDH），多业务传送平台（MSTP）、城域光传输网。 Abstract SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) network is composed of terminal MUX, divarication MUX, REG and SDXC units etc, and they are used in transmission, multiplexing, divarication and cross-connecting of synchronous information. SDH has an architecture of rectangle-block frame measured by byte. The frame contains three main parts such as section overhead, payload and AU-PTR. Multiplexing is a process, in which signal of lower rank passage enters higher rank passage by means of adoptions. Namely, being mapped, aligned and multiplexed, signal of lower rank passage was formed into module signal of higher velocity called STM-N frame. SDH network is applied in microwave, satellite communications and network by means of IP over SDH, GEOS and so on. MSTP is a multi service transport platform based on SDH1It realizes TDM, ATM and Ethernet receive processing and transmission, and provides MSTP equipment, which is managed by unified Internet1M STP is the development of SDH and it is an important step of transport technology1M STP can no t only use abundant SDH resources and compatible TDM , but also realize comprehensive transmission of Ethernet and ATM .This paper mainly introduces characteristics of MSTP and background of new generation MSTP, at the end of this text, a detailed discussion of its application is given in the service platform.
