第 卷第 期 船舶力学 19 3 Vol.19 No.3 年 月 2015 3 Journal of Ship Mechanics Mar. 2015 : ( ) Article ID 1007-7294 2015 03-0237-12 Numerical Study on the Hydrodynamic Interaction of Ship-ship Models in Calm Water ZHOU Guang-li, DONG Wen-cai, XIAO Wen-bin (Department of Naval Architecture, Naval University of Engineering, Wuhan 430033, China) Abstract: This work is focused on the hydrodynamic comparison between the single ship and two ships advancing parallel in calm water and the laws of the resistance, lateral force and yaw moment under the influence of the drift angle and relative location for two-ship models. Based on SST k-棕 turbulence model, the Reynolds averaged N-S equations are adopted to analyze the ship-ship interaction effects numerically. The results show that: 1) For the ships advancing obliquely in calm water, the resistance of a ship model with another one in close proximity is increased to a certain degree compared with the single-ship sailing case and the lateral forces acted on the two-ship models point towards the fluids between the ship sides; 2) If two-ship models are advancing parallel with opposite drift angles, there is a certain difference of the hydrodynamic pressure distributions when the ship located in the up-flow and back-flow sides; 3) If two-ship models are in a stand-on course, the relative location exerts a great effect on the hydrodynamic force. The ship-ship interaction effects are remarkable for the case that the longitudinal separation between two ships is less than the ship length. At d
