China Hotel Conceptual Design Competition of Renewal Project Invitation Notice General General Situation China Hotel (中国大酒店hereinafter called the Tenderee), famous as a five-star business hotel, is a state-owned enterprise subsidiary to Guangzhou Lingnan International Enterprise Group Co. Ltd. (广州岭南国际企业集团有限公司) Opposite to former site of Guangzhou Fair in Liuhua Road, China Hotel occupies a site area of 18782m2 with total construction floor area of 156897m2. It consists of 9 buildings of A、B、C、D、E、F、G、H and J, in which buildings A、B、F、H (18 floors) in shape of “H” and buildings C、D composing the principle part of the hotel. As for function of the buildings, Block C is for offices (15 floors), Block D for apartments (15 floors, with several floors offices), Block J for apartments on floors 9th ~17th, while floors below 9th car parks, stuff canteen and logistics rooms. Basement floor exists in Block A、B、C、E、F、G、H and J, which forms a overall conjunction through the underground except for Block J. There are 889 guest rooms in the hotel; area of apartment is 26859m2, offices 15808m2, shops 6640m2, and 15 multi-function dinner/conference rooms 1272m2, It contains 1212 seats in both Chinese and western restaurants. Healthy facilities, swimming pool, sports rooms, tennis court, golf exercise course and 260 parking spaces are also included. After 20-year operation, the functional layout and facilities in China Hotel have exposed to be timeworn and disrepaired. For the sake of securing high competitive advantage in the market and re-featuring modern and stylish image, it is determined to renew the hotel to the entire extent.
