AbstractWith the rapid development of Chinese medicine industry, the water environment has been endangered seriously by the unqualified wastewater from the pharmaceutical factory, so it is significant to develop wastewater treatment technology which is stable, energy saving, low power and have simple process, high efficiency, according to the research of Chinese medicine wastewater that has high pollutional and refractory contribution to the water treatment. The advanced oxidation process also can be called advanced oxidation technology, it is usually thought as the oxidation process based on the reaction of the hydroxyl radical (·OH), as the semifinished product, it is an efficient technology that has many characteristics, such as thorough treatment, road scope of application, no secondary pollution, etc. Because of the characteristics that the high efficiency of photocatalytic oxidation, very strong oxidation ability and so on, it has more advantages when being used to treat toxic and hazardous waste that contains high concentrations and refractory materials. Through the wastewater treatment experiment using UV-Fenton system, the following conclusions are inferred:(1) In the wastewater treatment experiment using UV-Fenton system, six kinds of factors are investigated: H2O2 dosage pH value reaction time Fe2+ dosage reaction temperature adding manner of oxidant. Through the experiment, the optimum reaction conditions are determined as follows: H2O2 dosage is 6.40ml/L,pH≈4.0, the reaction time is 100min, Fe2+ concentration is 220mg/L, temperature isaround 20℃, throw oxidant several times, but considering the operation, one-time throwing may be the best choice. COD removal rate can reach 87.88%. N-NH3 can beremoved well during the process of treatment.
