Presentation
Present the picture and word –“pirate”, and then T puts on the captain hat, and helps ss differentiate them. Introduce the title “The Pirate Captain”, the author and the illustrator.
(Page 1)With covering the pictures of the other pirates, T points to the captain and asks: “What will the captain do?” Opening the cover, then T shows the pictures and says”’ I want pirates for my pirate ship,’ said the pirate captain.”
