II II Abstract Fredric Jameson is one of the most influential Marxist theorists in the contemporary Western countries. With the appearance of globalization in the world scope, people are more and more interested in it and Jameson also shows his great concern, because he is a person who pays close attention to the real world. Jameson contacts globalization with the expansion of late capitalism, with the former being the substantive characteristics of transnational capitalism. Jameson thinks that globalization has many meanings, which include the five aspects of technology, politics, culture, economy and society. Being a cultural researchers, he focuses on cultural level of globalization issue naturally. He thinks the core of the globalization is culture. The cultural superstructure of globalization is the postmodernism, Jamesons study of globalization is from his postmodernism theory. Jameson thinks that in the process of globalization culture and economy are integrated. On the one hand, economy is to integrate culture, commodity production contains element of culture, and consumption embodies the aesthetic consciousness. On the other hand, culture is to integrate economy, capital logic exists in the culture, and culture becomes a kind of industry. Under the background of globalization, the integration of economy and culture has come true, it is the need of late capitalism expansion and cultural colonization. In the process of globalization, Jameson thinks the genuine problem is standardization of world culture, this is mainly Americanization. Americanization is the cultural imperialism in the globalization. Cultural imperialism is a new form of imperialism, American strengthen hegemony domination through it, it leads to cultural identity crisis in the process of the globalization.
