The airport’s resources are limited, which becomes one of the important factors to restrict the development of hub-airports. So how to improve the resource utilization has become the key issue to improve the transfer efficiency of a hub airport. First, this thesis introduces the passenger transfer process and the relevant links of an airport, analyzes the operating characteristics of passenger transfer process. And then the conception of system simulation and its advantages in the aspect of the airport are introduced, as well as the conception and the characteristics of discrete-event system simulation. Then after the SIMIO simulation software is introduced, this thesis uses the method of discrete-event system simulation to build the simulation model of passenger transfer process of a hub-airport and achieves the design of passenger transfer process simulation system by using the simulation software SIMIO, then assesses the operating efficiency of the transfer process and finds out the bottlenecks.
