及其余从句的附属连词有二、常用并列连词的用法 ( ―)表示关系的连词 一、连词的分类 按自己的含义及其所连结的成分的性质，连词可分为并列连词和附属连词两类。 并列连词 并列连词是连结两个并列关系的词、 短语或句子的连词。 依据其意义， 并列连词又可分为表 示关系、转折、选择和因果等四种关系的连词。如： and, but, or, for, so, not only... but also, either... or... , both... and, neither... nor 等。 附属连词 附属连词是指引状语从句、宾语从句及其余从句的连词，指引状语从句的附属连词有 after， when， while, before ，as soon as, because, since, until, if, (al) though, so that 等。指引宾语从句 that, if, whether ， what 等。 表示关系关系的并列连词有： and, both... and... , neither... nor... , not only... but also... , as well as 等。其用法以下： 1. and 的用法 (1)and 用于必定的并列。如： I am a student and he is a teacher. 我是学生，他是老师。 He and I are good friends. 他和我是好朋友。 She started to shout and cry. 她开始大哭大喊。 (2) and 用在动词 come, go, run, stay, stop 等不及物动词以后辈替  to,  与另一个动词连结，此 时第二个动词表示目的。如： Go and buy a pencil for me. 去给我买支铅笔。 用于 “祈使句 + and + 句子 ”构造中，祈使句表示条件，后边的句子表示结果。如： both... and... 的用法 both... and... 与 and 的作用基真同样，但不可以并列连结两个句子，其语气也比 and 强。如： The film is both interesting and instructive. 这部电影不只风趣，并且有教育意义。 He has both courage and perseverance. 他既有勇气又有毅力。 3. neither... nor... 的用法 neither... nor... 为 both... and... 的否认形式，其用法也大概同样。如： not only... but also... 和 as well as 的用法 not only... but also... 和 as well as 的用法与 and 相像，R 是各自的重视点不一样， 用 not only... but also... 时，重视点在 but also 后边的部分，用 as well as 时，重视点在 as well as 前方部分。 试比较： She has not only knowledge but also experience. 她既有知识，又有经验。（重申经验） She has knowledge as well as experience. 她既有经验，又有知识。（重申知识） She is not only clever but (also) beautiful, 她不单聪慧并且漂亮。（重视漂亮） She is clever as well as beautiful. 她不单漂亮并且聪慧。（重视聪慧） （二）表示选择的连词 表示选择关系的并列连词有： or ，either... or... , whether... or... , rather... than, or else, other wise 等。 or 的用法 在陈说句中，连结两个往常在内容上互相排挤的部分。如： The book will cost $8 or $9. 这本书的价格为 8 或 9 美元。 Tom or I am to be blame. 不是汤姆，就是我该受责怪。 在否认句或否认构造中，表示并列的两个部分都能否认。如： He cant speak English or Chinese. 他不会说英语，也不会说汉语。 He studied for one whole day, without any food or rest. 他学了整整一天，既不吃饭也不歇息。 (3)or 还有 “不然 ”的意思。如： Take this bus or you wont get there in time. 搭这辆公共汽车吧，不然你没法实时抵
