Sentence Expansion For the sake of writing good English, a short and simple sentence sometimes can be expanded by adding to it a modifier; a parenthesis 插入语 ; an apposition 同位语； a compound sentence, thus making it a complex one； a complex sentence, thus making it a compound-complex one.
