Methods:SeniorleaderswithintheVAandtheDoDassembledateamtoupdatethe2016CPGforthemanage-mentofMDDthatincludedclinicalstakeholdersandconformedtotheNationalAcademyofMedicinestenetsfortrustworthyCPGs.Theguidelinepaneldevelopedkeyquestions,systemati-callysearchedandevaluatedtheliterature,createdtwo1algorithms,anddistilled36recommendationsforcareusingtheGRADE(GradingofRecommendationsAssessment,Development
andEvaluation)system.Selectrecommendationsthatwereiden-tiiedbytheauthorstorepresentkeychangesfromthepriorCPGarepresentedinthissynopsis.
Recommendations:ThescopeoftheCPGisdiverse;how-ever,thissynopsisfocusesonkeyrecommendationsthattheauthorsidentiiedasimportantnewevidenceandchangestopriorrecommendationsonpharmacologicmanagement,pharmacogenomics,psychotherapy,complementaryandal-ternativetherapies,andtheuseoftelemedicine.
