At the same time, the rapid development of Chinas economy has induced the more and more serious energy crisis and environmental pollution problems and this situation has attracted widespread attention all over the China. The use of anaerobic digestion technology to treat raising farm stools posses obvious meaning in both energy and environmental protection. Therefore, there is wide study in biogas production. In this paper, an up-flow reactor solid (USR) with biogas capacity of 1000 m3/d for a pig farm is designed. The main process of USR is based on the characteristics of the stools and a lot of Chinese and foreign literatures about the biogas production. Optimized design and strength check were carried out.
