Using the new words and phrases in Part A. 教材分析 重点 Where were you at midnight?I was at… I was …ing…/think about the new year,cheer, wake up, bell rings, at my cousin’s house, at the park,in bed 难点 Where were you at midnight?I was at… I was …ing… 教具 Tape pictures cards 教 学 过 程 A It’s New Year’s Day. Pat ,Tim, Koko and their friends are talking.Listen, read and act. Presentation 1bring in photos showing people celebrating on birthdays or at festivals, e.g.New Year, Christmas, Dragon-boat Festival, Mid-autumn Festival ,etc.Ask the students to bring similar photos if they have any. 2Put the photos on the board. Ask the students if they can tell what festival it is in a photo.Then ask them to talk about what the people were doing in each photo. 3Choose a student and ask Where were you on your last birthday .The student should answer truthfully. 教 学 过 程 Practise show transparency.
