Could you please clean your room? Section A 1a-2d
Step 1
Lead in: Do you often help your mother with housework? Do you often do chores at home?
Step 2 :1a 1.Ask the students discuss with their partners if they do the chores in 1a? Pay attention to the new words: rubbish; fold; sweep; floor
2. Show some pictures
Practice Could you please......? Yes, sure./ Sorry, but...
Step 3.1b listening, Ask the students to listen and check who will do theses chores? Peter’s mother or Peter?. Look through the chores and listen carefully. Play the recorder the first time ,the students only listen, then play it again, ask the students finish the task, if the students have difficulties listening to the tape, Play the recorder one more time. At last correct the answers.
Step 4 Practice in pairs.
1. Ask the students to practice the conversation in the picture
above. Then make conversations using the information in 1a.
2. Role play. Ask some pairs in each groups to read their
Conversations.
Step 5 2a、2b、2c
1. Peter asks his father if he can do four things. What does his father say?Check yes or no.
Play the tape for the students ,the students listen and finish the task. Then check the answers.
2.Have the students look through 2b,ask them to listen again and draw lines to the reasons why Peter’s father say “no”. Ask the students to pay attention to go out ; stay out late; get a ride. Then check the answers.
3. 2c .Practice
Have the students make conversations using the information in 2a and 2b. Then ask the students to practice in pairs.
Step6 2d
1. Ask the students to read the conversation and pay attention to the pronunciation and tones.
2. Ask the students to find out the key phrases and learn them by heart.
