Module 2 My New Teachers Period One 学情分析 The students are freshmen in senior high. The teachers are all new to them.. They are curious about what kind of teachers they will have. So the topic of new teachers will interest them. The students in our school are not good at English, especially in listening and speaking. In this class, I will provide them many chances to speak out. 教学目标 1. Knowledge aim: New words: amusing, energetic, patient, serious, admit, appreciate, avoid, scientific, physics, literature, summaries, respect… Phrases: be strict with/in, make sure, make process, on time, as a result, fall asleep, tell jokes. 2. Ability aim: Learning the adjectives used to describe characters of people and be able to describe your favorite teacher. 3. Emotion aim: Understanding new teachers and forming positive attitudes towards the studies of all subjects in senior high. 教学重点 How to describe different teachers. 教学难点: Enable the students to describe the teachers they like and tell the reasons.: 教学方法 Speaking, task-teaching, pair-work & group-work. 教具 Multi-Media, chalk, backboard 教学流程 Task 1 Describe some famous teachers and review some adjectives. Brainstorming: 1.Ask students to bring out as many adjectives used to describe a person. handsome, funny, kind, wise, energetic, intelligent, successful, popular, amusing, courageous, knowledgeable, funny, amusing, patient, serious, strict, lively, organized, shy, stupid. 2.Give the students pictures of some famous teachers, ask the students to use as many adjectives as possible to describe them.
