Unit 2   当一个句子充当宾语时,这个句子就称为宾语从句。 宾语从句与主句之间由附属连词来连接。 (1)由连词that引导的宾语从句:   当谓语动词表示肯定的概念,如“希望〞“相信〞“知道〞或“说〞时,其后面的句子一般用that引导。that无意义,可以省略。 eg:我想他几天后就会好了。 I think (that) he’ll be all right in a few days. 我相信我们会成为好朋友。 I believe (that) we will become good friends. Grammar 宾语从句 (2)由连接词if或whether引导的宾语从句:   其中if/whether意为“是否;是不是〞,宾语从句用陈述语序。 e.g.我不知道明天天气是否晴朗。 I don’t know if/whether it is fine tomorrow. 你知道他是否会来吗? Do you know if/whether he’ll come? whether和if在从句中不充当任何句子成分,只起连接作用,但不能省略。一般可以通用,但在以下情况下,whether不可换用if。 ①从句中有or not时; ②有些动词〔如discuss〕后面只能跟whether; ③从句充当介词宾语时; ④连接词后接不定式时。 1.We are sure that he ______________ (go) to school tomorrow. 2.Our father said that he ________(will) buy a new computer. 3.I heard that he ________(swim) in the sea yesterday. 4.I asked if he _______ (can) hike to the top of the mountain. 5.I’m not sure whether there _____(be) some animals in the zoo. 一、用所给动词的正确形式填空。 will go/is going Exercises would swam could are 1.Jane will come to the party on time. Can you tell me __________ the sports meeting ______ for three days? if/whether if/whether are playing lasted 用来表达喜、怒、哀、乐等强烈感情的句子叫感慨句。感慨句一般用what或how引导,句末用感慨号。what修饰名词,how修饰形容词或副词。 感慨句 what引导的感慨句: 1) What + a/ an + adj.?+?可数名词单数(+主谓语)!? e.g. What a brave boy (Tom is)! What an excellent idea (it is)! 2) What + adj.?+?可数名词复数(+主谓语)!? e.g. What beautiful pictures (they are)! 3) What + adj. + 不可数名词(+主谓语)!?
