Methods 46 ESCC patients were divided into Aidi group and control group, each of which included 23 subjects. Patients of Aidi group were given 80ml/d intravenous injection of Aidi for 7 days before surgery, while patients of control group were not given any Aidi injection. Other related therapeutic medicines were as same in both groups. After completing ordinary staining detection, tissue microarray (TMA) was prepared and performed using immunohistochemistry (IHC) and terminal deoxynucleotidyl traferase-mediated dUTP biotin end labeling of fragmented DNA(TUNEL) method. Bcl-2 and Bax were observed by immunohistochemistry staining. Results There was no significant statistical difference between the two groups in sex, age, tumor sites, tumor size, differentiated degree, infiltration degree or lymph node metastasis. The positive rate of Bcl-2 in Aidi group（%）was significantly lower than those in control group（%）,（P＜）,while the rate of Bax in Aidi group（%）was significantly higher than that in control one（%）,（P＜）. The ratio of Bax/ Bcl-2 in Aidi group (±) was significantly higher than that in control group(±),（P＜）. In addition, the positive rate of apoptosis in the experimental group(%) was significantly higher than that in the control group(%)（P＜）by TUNEL method.
