Unit 3 Teenage problems Reading 教学目标 通过本课时的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词和短语: choice, but, awake, hardly, imagine, doubt, worth, suggestion, cause, strict, schoolwork, valuable, friendship, list, deal with, stay up, be worth doing sth., be strict with sb., stay out, work out, according to。 2.能力目标 (1)通过阅读,理解两个青少年的问题,并能提出建议。 (2)通过阅读,提高学生阅读的能力,逐步掌握阅读技巧。 3.情感目标 通过阅读,让学生了解青少年问题,并学会积极解决问题,培养良好的个人品质,健康成长。 重点难点 重点:掌握本课时的单词和短语,理解文章大意,掌握重要句型。 难点:掌握阅读理解中的预测技巧。 教学准备 PPT 课件;相关图片。 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Show a question. Ask: What are your problems? Ask them to list a lot of problems that a teenage may have. Step 2 Presentation 1. Show a picture of a girl. Present the new words and learn. She has too muchhomework to do, so she has to stay up late and can’t stay awake in class. 2. Check them if they can read the new words. Step 3 Reading Task 1 First reading—Skimming Ask them to read the passages quickly and find out the answers to the two questions: 1.How do they ask for help? 2.Who do they ask for help? Task 2 Second reading—Scanning Read the passages quickly and judge the sentences (T or F). 1. Millie and Simon are both Grade 9 students. 2. Millie has lots of housework to do every day. 3.
