Agriculturalbiomassasanenergyresourcehasseveralenvironmentalandeconomicaladvantagesandhaspotentialtosubstantially contributetopresentdays’fueldemands.Currently,thermochemicalprocessesforagriculturalbiomasstoenergytransformation seempromisingandfeasible.Therelativeadvantageofthermochemicalconversionoverothersisduetohigherproductivityand compatibilitywithexistinginfrastructurefacilities.However,themajorityoftheseprocessesarestillunderdevelopmentphaseand tryingtosecureamarketshareduetovariouschallenges,rightfromsuitableinfrastructure,rawmaterial,technicallimitations, governmentpolicies,andsocialacceptance.Theknowledgeathandsuggeststhatbiomasscanbecomeasustainableandmajor contributortothecurrentenergydemands,ifresearchanddevelopmentareencouragedinthe?eldofthermochemicalconversion forvariousagriculturalbiomasstypes.Thispaperintendstoexplorethephysicalandchemicalcharacteristicsofbiofuelsubstitutes offossilfuels,potentialbiomasssources,andprocessparametersforthermochemicalconver
